Hey, my name is Olivier Vasquez, I’m an internet marketer…
Listen up, I’m sending some Basic-But-Powerful knowledge your way…
Internet Marketers usually loose focus; we start paying attention to the wrong things and give value to the wrong Outcomes …
… What’s the number 1 Objective? You want to sell Something to Somebody… To make a little bit of Mula.
We are so impassioned about what we do however that we tend to brag about the size of our Lists- Where we rank on Google, How we dominate this web 2.0 channnel, blah blah blah…
The first rule before you make any move is…
You have to find a Profitable Market- That’s the number one rule of Internet Marketing- That’s where you START.
Find A Market where People are buying- Other Marketers are Selling and You can- Sell Something to Somebody…
How difficult is Finding a Profitable Market that’s profitable?
Not that difficult at all actually… You have to think of a market you like, let’s say (Dog Training)-
Look in Google to see how many searches are done in a month by going to Google’s Keyword Tool: https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal-
- Enter “Dog Training” See which keywords ranks high for that category, (if there are any,) and if you see searches in the 100 thousands (of Results found) then you have your first criteria to finding a Profitable Market…
Newbies usually get it wrong- they jump on a topic du jour and think “Yeah, I’m gonna sell Avatar shirts- of course it’s gonna work, the movie just beat tons of box office records etc etc…
But the truth is without testing to see if the market is hot? You will never know if your intuition rings true…
So the second step in Finding a Profitable Market (after having checked the search volume on Google,) is confirming whether sales are being made in that market…
Are people Buying anything?
A keyword can have a billion searches a month but if no one is selling anything, then you won’t be able to to sell Anything Either- no matter how sophisticated your marketing strategy is…
You can have a million followers in twitter but if your niche is “Free the Children of the World,” while it may be an admirable endeavor to take on► Good Luck trying to make some money in that niche… Finding the right niche should be an easy task…
So how do You know a Market is Profitable
After You’ve gathered your keywords from Google Keyword tool, You make a search for each one. And for each keyword, look to see if the paid ads on the right side of the SERP (Search Engine Results Page) are numerous.
If they are numerous it means that enough Marketers found the niche profitable to a point where they would spend their hard-earned-marketing Dollars on advertising for a product in that particular niche …
Then and only then should You start researching whether or not You should start promoting a product in that particular niche: “Dog Training.”
Do not fall in Love with a product that you have decided in your own head, will be profitable…
NEVER BE EMOTIONALLY ATTACHED to any product… Make sure you do your Market Research first and only then can you make the decision to sell something in that niche!
Peace out, and good luck on Your marketing Journey!
